Surgical Oncology Clinic
The Surgical Oncology Clinic and Regional Treatment Centre is located at the Metropolitan Hospital, a member of the HHG Group, in Neo Faliro.
It is staffed by a team of specialized Surgical Oncologists and Anaesthesiologists, with many years of experience in the field of cancer surgery and the application of regional and personalized treatments.
The aim of the team is to provide high quality innovative and targeted therapies in the treatment of solid neoplastic diseases.
The Team consists of:
• Professor Zoras Odysseas, MD PhD PhD(hon) FACS, Professor Emeritus of Surgical Oncology – Director
• Dr Papachristos Stavros, MD, Consultant at the University of Sheffield – Associate Director
• Dr Demesticha Theano, MD PhD, Associate Professor, School of Medicine, University of Athens, Greece
The members of the clinic have many years of experience in the management of complex oncological cases. .The clinic works in close and active collaboration, both clinically and educationally, with the Department of Surgical Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University – Israel. Patients’ cases are discussed on a weekly basis at special scientific meetings.
To provide comprehensive treatment and targeted actions in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients, with emphasis on the surgical management of solid tumours.
